Tiko Council/cradef partnership Award Scholarships and Free Birth Certificates to Vulnerable Children within municipality

Over 12 Primary School pupils and Secondary school Students within Tiko municipality have received scholarships worth FCFA 1 Million thanks to the Tiko Council/Cradef partnership.

The ceremony that took place on Wednesday August 27, 2025 at the Tiko Council Banquet hall, also witnessed the distribution of over 50 Free Birth Certificates to Pupils who will take part in end of year examinations for the 2025/2026 Academic year in Tiko municipality.

Representing Tiko Council Mayor HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III, fourth Deputy Mayor Waindim Rudolf called on the communities to support and collaborate to the growth of the Council so that no child is left behind as concern birth certificate.

Mayor Waindim Rudolf went further that Tiko Council under the stewardship of Mayor HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III is doing its best as interms of strengthening partnership with Non Governmental organization and Associations such as Cradef, providing Inclusive Education, Access to Vulnerable Children amongst others.

Cradef Country Representative, Mr Ayissi Abega Alain on his part highlighted that Cradef which is a Humanitarian Organisation with headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland is out to promote Education and called on Students and pupils to excel in their studies as they are for them.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of the Inspector of Basic Education for Tiko, Head Teachers, parents, Tiko Council secretary General, Mrs Eri Tatason, Chief of Administration, madam Coretta Mesinze, Chief of Personnel, madam Carolina Achanga Bih, staff of the Council amongst others.

It should be noted that this is the first time Cradef is carrying out such partnership exercise in an Anglophone région with Tiko Council as the first municipality.
